The Military Bible
Translated by Military Chaplains
Endorsed by Retired Flag Officers
From the Acclaimed Director of Braveheart and The Passion of the Christ
Hacksaw Ridge
“A powerful, heroic story . . . graphic, sobering, and realistic. This is the most significant portrayal of a conscientious objector in war, and the most compelling movie about World War II I've ever experienced. We enthusiastically endorse Hacksaw Ridge and urge everyone to see it Nov 4th and witness the courage, convictions, and ideals that made this country the greatest nation on the earth.”

Pastor Greg Laurie said after viewing it, "This is the most positive portrayal of a Christian in a mainstream film that I have seen since Chariots of Fire." If you mixed Braveheart with We Were Soldiers and Passion of the Christ... this is Hacksaw Ridge!

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: This is a war film that juxtaposes the immense violence of the Battle for Okinawa in WW2 with the amazing courage of a medic who would not carry a gun, even on the front lines. A man who would not leave behind his wounded comrades even after Retreat was sounded to save the very men who had persecuted him for his faith and convictions in boot camp. Mel Gibson says he was drawn to this story because, "most Medals of Honor are earned in the heat of battle, when an act of valor is carried out in a moment, almost without thought." However, Doss chose to go out into the aftermath of a lost battle, in the dead of night while Japanese killing squads looked for wounded Americans, and carried men to safety, one at time, for over 12 hours, the whole time, praying "God, help me get just one more." Doss saved over 75 men that one night. Because this is a war film, it is not family safe for viewing. Children are not allowed. The violence and war carnage is legitimate. Plus, there is a fair amount of language as would be expected in an Army boot camp and on the field of battle (though Mel was careful to not allow any F-words or taking the Lord's name in vain).
